Daniel Sánchez

Daniel Sanchez joined OLIVARES in 2000 and became a partner in 2011. He is one of the most sought after IP and administrative litigators in Mexico, and his expertise is recognized by many industry rankings and titles.

His work is extensive, with vast experience in the prosecution and litigation of all areas of intellectual property including trademarks, copyrights, patents and unfair competition. The broad nature of his background allows him to build enforcement strategies that take on a series of different angles.

Mr. Sanchez focuses his practice in litigation and regulatory matters, concentrating primarily in the industries of life sciences and technology.  He Co-Chairs at OLIVARES, the Litigation team and the IT industry group. He is one of the few true regulatory and administrative litigation experts in Mexico and has added revolutionary contributions to the database that mirrors that of COFEPRIS for the acceptance of marketing authorizations for trademarks.

His group of attorneys is specifically focused on litigation before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and the Federal Courts. He has authored various articles involving IP and Life Sciences related matters and he has lectured on various topics in the Intellectual Property field, at national and international forums.

He currently chairs the Intellectual Property Committee of the Mexican Bar Association and is Vice President of the Mexican Association for Intellectual for the Intellectual Property Association (AMPPI). He is also member of INTA, BIO, AIPPI and participated as observer in APAA in various meetings.
